Tuesday Morning With a Cockroach

Here's what I love to do the morning I'm leaving for a trip...battle a roach in my kitchen (which I began battling last night and left to croak in a crevice somewhere, but found this morning belly-up in the middle of the kitchen floor), and then disinfect the kitchen floor because I have no idea where the roach dragged its half dead body in the middle of the night, and we all know what half-dying roaches leave behind as they flip and scuttle around fighting their imminent departure from this life.  That's right...their very own legacy.  Or maybe just a leg. So, while I've been up for an hour and a half, I have done nothing to finish preparing for our trip.  But, since I always like to look at the bright side of things, I can say that I've got a clean kitchen floor to return to, and because of my mopping method I did a little cardio exercise this morning. It's a good thing I'm headed to Florida where I can be away from cockroaches for a bit...oh, wait, no...they await me there as well.  But with the bright sunshine, the pool, the beach just a few feet away each morning, cousins to play with, a husband on vacation with us, a sister-in-law  to hang out with, Grandma and Mr. Bob to see, and Grandpa and Ms. Susie to visit with I think we'll have plenty of fun distractions! Now I'm off to pack!  And then we're getting on an airplane!  It should be a lot of fun with Eliana!

I love how in Florida they call them palmetto bugs, but they are still just cockroaches. Have fun on your trip and good luck with the flight.
